Removing the Guesswork

The Dual Acoustics 3D Proposal service is aimed at answering all of your budget, installation, and aesthetics questions before any major commitment is necessary. We begin by coming to your Chicagoland location (additional locations coming soon) with product samples for you to view. We then take measurements of your entire space and model your room in a 3D environment using CAD software. Within a couple of days, you are given a quote based on our assessment as well as an animated movie that depicts exactly where the panels in our quote should be installed. The movie walks you through your entire space from many perspectives
so that you can see exactly how the final installation will look. Furniture placement, floor materials, electronics, windows, doors, and colors are all modeled as closely to your actual space as possible. This is truly the best possible way to approach a room design. Adjustments can be made, potential installation problems can be avoided, and any uncertainties about layout and aesthetics can be eliminated. Additionally, the small fee for this service is applied to any future purchases.

Detail and Accuracy

The images below depict the depth that is presented in a 3D proposal. During the animation of your space, the studio is typically circled from above to provide an aerial view of the entire space followed by an eye-level walk-through that explores each room as if you were there. These images (taken from a past client’s animation) show the typical stages of a client experience. The first image shows one angle of a home studio after it was modeled in 3D. The next image depicts the proposed products and placement that is explained in an accompanying room quote. The final shot is the finished result and shows how closely a room can be modeled.

3D Room Designs In Action

The best way to understand exactly how much the 3D proposal service aids the design process is to view actual client videos. Here are a few examples of this service in action:

View 3D Example 1
Solid birch walls and a concrete ceiling required a balance of aesthetics and performance. Quantum Traps in the front corners and a LowTrap cloud provided increased control at mix position.

View 3D Example 2
A three room studio that included a vocal booth, control room and live room. All three rooms were designed to eventually intermix absorption and diffusion devices.

View 3D Example 3
A small basement studio and vocal booth employing both the QuantumTrap and HMLowTrap for bass control as well as a SpectrumPanel cloud for added tightness.

View 3D Example 4
A custom built control room and live room that incorporated maple-framed LowTraps, a LowTrap cloud and the entire family of SpectrumPanels including a grid of Spectrum11′s on the rear wall.
